This 2006 hit rock-musical with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Dunkin Sheik is a beautiful exploration of adolescent sexuality in late 19th century Germany. I auditioned for the production late to take up the Adult Women role after I was in another production with the director, and it was such a joyous space to join. The production was stripped back, did not rely on a lot of set pieces but allowed the amazing talent of the cast to carry the weight of the story.
