Falsettos
“Shiksa caterers, short insomnias, Hypochondriacs, Yiddish Americans, Spiky Families, Radiologists, intellectuals, Nervous wrecks!”
Trina in Falsettos is one of my favourite theatre roles in one of my favourite musicals of all time, and performing in this production was my first major role since highschool. The sung-through nature of the show was a lot of fun, with the backing vocal lines adding complexity and drama to any moment. It was an intimate performance space but it meant that “I’m Breaking Down” had great opportunities to connect with the audience and bring out the comedy. I am so grateful to have been able to perform this show at least once in my life. (Performed April 2023)
